Toyota RAV4

Toyota RAV4 front profile is heavily inspired by the 9th generation Toyota Camry, but all other angles will remind you back of old RAV4 models, and the rear profile is looking the most stylish this time, with new LED signature tail-lights that looks like some nerd has designed it, as it feels to tech savy. Moreover, the sixth generation RAV4 is built on a Toyota New Generation Architecture-K (TNGA-K) platform, and the press note says, the overall structural rigidity has been gone more stronger and this will benefit both ride and handling.

Now, RAV4 will come in three distinctive trims - Core, Sport, and Rugged styles across seven grades, including a new-look Woodland and first-ever GR SPORT. To the most interesting part, this compact SUV will now be available with a choice of Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) or Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrains in a choice of Front- or All-Wheel Drive (FWD or AWD). The standard powertrain setup here is a 2.5L, 4-cylinder petrol engine making power from 226 Hp up to 320 Hp, for the top spec GR Sport trim.

Another important aspect of this car is that its interior now features a 12.9-inch infotainment screen along with a 12.3 Inch digital MID, and other features include - a 9-speaker JBL audio system, head-up display and seats of several ranges - from fabric to softex. Now, the most important question comes? Will Toyota bring this car to India? Most likely no, but fingers crossed. Also, this car was spotted in February here, but no significant updates since then.

Verdict
The 2026 RAV4 Core design combines a sleek, paint-matched grille, with Toyotas signature hammerhead front end for a modern take on RAV4. Wide over fenders with black cladding and an ascending belt line with chiselled body panels complement its SUV proportions. That said, this is a great SUV and we want this in India, it has the potential to become highly successful here too as, it hybrid plus SUV and that too with all the latest technology. So, Toyota should think about it.
