2026 Renault Duster Launched At Rs. 10.49 Lakh (Ex-sh): Details

Renault has finally bought back its most loved and demanded product in India, all new Duster 2026. The starting price of the SUV is Rs. 10.49 Lakh (ex-showroom). This time, the SUV has got a new redesigned exterior, new hybrid-ready powertrains, improved off-road capability, and a significant technology upgrade. The new model aims to re-establish Renaults presence in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment.

Originally introduced in India in 2012, the Duster helped popularise the compact SUV category. 2026 Renault Duster: Design & Exterior

The new Duster has got a more muscular design language with a bold front fascia, sculpted bonnet and strong body cladding. Renault has also added several premium elements such as an electric panoramic sunroof and distinctive LED lighting signatures that give the SUV a more modern appearance. The mid-size dimensionally offers a commanding road presence with a ground clearance of 212 mm. Renault has improved approach and departure angles of the SUV, making it a bit suitable for off-roads.

2026 Renault Duster: Interior & Tech

Inside, the new Duster is a mix of practicality and technology. The cabin now features dual digital displays, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The OpenR Link multimedia system also supports Google-based applications as well.

Other notable features include the panoramic sunroof, electric adjustable front seats, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control with PM2.5 filter, 360 degree camera, 48-colour ambient lighting, and connected car technology. The SUV also offers strong practicality with 518 L boot space up to the parcel shelf and up to 700 L up to the roof, making it suitable for long road trips and family travel. 2026 Renault Duster: Engine & Transmissions

Renault offers multiple powertrain options for the new Duster, including turbo-petrol and hybrid configurations. The first option is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The second option is a 1.3-litre turbo petrol mild-hybrid engine delivering 163 PS and 280 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DCT.

Additionally, a 1.8-litre strong hybrid powertrain is expected to join the lineup later in the year, which will come with an 8-step hybrid transmission, although its exact power and torque figures are yet to be announced.

Practicality and capability

The Duster continues to retain its adventure-focused character. The SUV combines high ground clearance with a rugged chassis to handle a variation on road conditions. Renault has also designed the vehicle for Indian driving conditions and conducted extensive testing across multiple terrains.

2026 Renault Duster: Price and Variants

The all-new Duster has been launched in five versions which include authentic, evolution, techno, techno+and iconic variants. The base authentic version starts at Rs. 10.49 lakh and the prices go up to Rs. 18.49 lakh for the iconic turbo DCT version. All prices are ex-showroom.
