Hyundai Venue

The Hyundai Venue teaser reveals its front fascia, and the most striking thing is how busy it looks. There are connected LED DRLs, large cubical LED headlights, and at the center sits a rectangular-shaped grille, which might feature plenty of chrome inserts - because it's a well-known fact that Indians love all things glittery.

Now, this isn't exactly a big reveal, as full-fledged pictures of the second-generation Hyundai Venue are already out on the web, thanks to a Korean car spotter who caught the SUV in its complete form. That said, we never know what changes Hyundai India might make to give it an Indian touch. On the other hand, the car is expected to launch in the first week of November - so, the countdown begins!

Talking more about it, this SUV is expected to retain the same powertrain options and gearbox setup. The major updates will be on the technology front, where we can expect Level 2 ADAS, bigger and better screens, and a new steering wheel design - which is already confirmed. Lastly, the car is expected to launch at a starting price of Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and could go up to Rs 14 lakh.

Verdict
The Hyundai Venue is the second best-selling car from the brand, but over the past few months, its sales have been dipping as the competition has become fiercer - and the Venue no longer has anything unique to offer. It's neither the most feature-loaded nor the most fun-to-drive SUV in its segment. The only way it can bounce back is with a refreshed design that enhances its road presence. This is the time for the Venue to prove its mettle.
