This time Tata Motors has started a new free extended warranty scheme for customers looking to buy the Nexon EV. Tata Nexon EV Extended Warranty for Free: How?

Tata Motors is offering the extended warranty for free on booking the Nexon EV in the month of December. The electric SUV comes with a standard warranty of 3 years or 1.25 lakh kilometres, whichever is earlier. So the extended warranty adds two more years to the regular warranty period. If you book the EV in December 2022, Tata Motors will offer the extended warranty free of cost. Usually, a certain amount is charged to customers to extend the standard warranty period. This runs parallel to the 8 years or 1.6 lakh kilometres warranty on the powertrain components, i.e. battery pack and electric motor.

The Tata Nexon EV currently sells in two different line-ups i.e. Prime and Max. The Nexon EV Prime uses a 30.2 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor churning out 129 bhp and 245 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the Nexon EV Max houses a larger 40.5 kWh battery pack putting out 143 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. The former comes with a claimed range of 312 kilometres while the latter goes till 437 kilometres on a single charge. The price range starts from Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom), going all the way up to Rs 20.04 lakh (ex-showroom).
