2023 Hyundai Tucson Now More Pricey; Check New Prices And Highlights

Hyundai Motors has increased the price of its premium SUV, the Hyundai Tucson for the year 2023. The SUV is now pricier by almost Rs. 81,400. The Hyundai Tucson price retails at Rs. 28.51 lahks and tops out at Rs. 35.34 lakh ex-showroom. The new March 2023 prices are between 2.31% and 2.92% higher than before.

Prices of the Tucson went higher by up to Rs. 81,400 and the Signature Dual Tone automatic variant witnessed the biggest jump. In terms of percentage, for the Tucson 2.0L petrol, the Platinum automatic variant saw the biggest price hike of 2.92%.

The prices of the Tucson diesel are now higher by up to Rs. 80,400. The Tucson Platinum automatic variant is hiked by as much as Rs. 80,400. It is interesting to note that Hyundai has not discontinued any variants of the Tucson.

Powertrain

You get a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol mated to a 6-speed torque-converter auto with its 156hp and 192Nm, and a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel mated to an 8-speed torque-converter auto with figures of 186hp and 416Nm, the latter getting the option of AWD on the top model. There is no option for a manual transmission in any kind of combination whatsoever.

VERDICT- The price hike now makes Tucson pricier than before. But the move is in line with the industry trend, which saw a price increase across carmakers and segments. With the new pricing, it directly competes with the like of the top-spec Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Citroen C5 Aircross.
