Kia Carens Clavis EV Details

The Kia Carens Clavis EV bears an identical design when compared to its regular combustion-powered version. However, a closer look will reveal a slightly re-touched front bumper with a different fog lamp treatment. You will also be able to spot the charging port located on the nose, along with the new alloy rims, inspired the ones on the much larger EV9. These can be expected to come with 16 and 17-inch wheels, and the rear is also going to be familiar.
The Carens Clavis EV is going to share its underpinnings with the Hyundai Creta Electric, with the 42kWh and 51.4kWh battery pack being carried over. While the power and torque specifications remain unknown for now, Kia says the Carens Clavis EV comes with an MIDC-claimed range of 490km on a single charge. However, this figure applies to the 51.4kWh battery pack, and the smaller battery pack will likely come with a figure of close to 390km.

The interiors of the Carens Clavis EV are also going to be rather familiar, featuring the same two-spoke steering wheel, a 26.62-inch blended screen setup for the infotainment system and the instrument cluster. The cluster itself receives a new digital twin-dial treatment from the Seltos, and the centre console also heavily mimics what we have seen on the Syros.

In terms of features, it will get a panoramic sunroof and vehicle-to-load, and we can expect things such as ventilated front seats with power adjustability, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, voice commands, 6 airbags across all variants, and a Level 2 ADAS suite among other things.
With the launch taking place on July 15, the Carens Clavis EV is not going to have any direct rivals at launch, and we can expect prices between Rs 18 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
