Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift: Panoramic Sunroof, 360 Camera Spied!

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Mahindra Scorpio N facelift spotted in advanced testing phase in India
  • Panoramic dual-pane sunroof confirmed, replacing the current single-pane unit
  • 360-degree surround camera system seen with ORVM-mounted cameras

Mahindra is gearing up to refresh one of its strongest performers in the Indian SUV market. Fresh spy shots of the 2026 Mahindra Scorpio N facelift have surfaced, revealing several long-awaited upgrades that buyers have consistently asked for. While the Scorpio N has remained a segment leader thanks to its rugged appeal and strong road presence, the upcoming facelift appears focused on elevating comfort, technology, and convenience, without disturbing the formula that already works. The latest test mule images not only confirm exterior tweaks but also lock in premium features such as a panoramic sunroof and a 360-degree camera system, signalling Mahindra's intent to keep the Scorpio N competitive against newer, feature-loaded rivals. Panoramic Sunroof Finally Joins The Mahindra Scorpio N Line-up

Sunroofs have become a key purchase driver in the Indian SUV market, and Mahindra seems ready to take the next step with the Mahindra Scorpio N facelift. Spy images clearly show the presence of a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, replacing the current single-pane unit. Unlike the fixed glass roofs seen on some newer electric models, this appears to be an operable panoramic setup, promising better ventilation and a brighter cabin. The upgrade should significantly enhance the sense of space inside an already roomy SUV, especially for rear-seat occupants, an area where customer demand has been steadily growing.

Another major highlight from the test vehicles is the addition of a 360-degree surround-view camera. Cameras integrated into the ORVM housings are clearly visible, confirming the system's inclusion on the facelifted Scorpio N. This feature addresses one of the few usability gaps in the current model. Given the SUV's size and upright proportions, a 360-degree camera will greatly improve ease of manoeuvring in tight urban environments. It also opens the door for advanced features such as blind-spot monitoring, which could be offered alongside Mahindra's existing ADAS suite.

Exterior Updates: Subtle, Yet More Dominant

While the Scorpio N facelift doesn't stray far from its muscular identity, spy shots reveal a reworked front grille with horizontal slats replacing the existing vertical design. This change visually widens the SUV and gives it a more commanding stance. The alloy wheels remain 18-inch units, but now feature a new spoke design, lending a fresher look to the side profile. Lighting elements appear largely unchanged for now, though minor revisions to LED detailing and fog lamp functionality are expected closer to launch.

Mahindra introduced Level 2 ADAS on select Scorpio N variants in 2025, and the facelift is expected to expand and refine this offering. The test vehicles continue to carry forward the forward-facing radar module, suggesting features such as adaptive cruise control, lane assistance, automatic emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition will remain part of the package.

Powertrain: No Changes Expected

Under the hood, the Scorpio N facelift is unlikely to see any mechanical revisions. The familiar 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines are expected to continue unchanged, paired with manual and automatic transmissions. The ladder-frame chassis and optional 4WD setup will also carry over, preserving the SUV's proven capability.

Given the advanced stage of testing, Mahindra is expected to unveil the Scorpio N facelift later this year, possibly in the second half of 2026. Prices are likely to see a modest increase over the current range, reflecting the significant feature additions.

Verdict

The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio N facelift appears to be a well-judged evolution rather than a radical reinvention. By adding high-demand features like a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, larger digital displays, and enhanced ADAS, while retaining its robust mechanical package, Mahindra is addressing customer feedback head-on. If the pricing remains competitive, the 2026 Scorpio N facelift could further strengthen Mahindra's grip on the mid-size SUV segment, appealing equally to urban buyers seeking comfort and tech, and traditionalists who value strength and road presence.
