The Maruti Suzuki Victoris has also joined the list of cars that have secured a full five-star rating at the Bharat NCAP. Interestingly, this information has been revealed well before the announcement of its prices, since the car has only been unveiled as of now. The Victoris is going to be Maruti Suzuki's second mid-size SUV, focusing on the budget-end of things give that it falls under the Arena sub-brand.

Maruti Suzuki Victoris At Bharat NCAP: Details

At the Bharat NCAP, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris has scored 31.66 out of 32.00 points in terms adult occupancy safety. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test and the side movable deformable barrier test, the Victoris has scored 15.66 and a full 16.00 points out of 16.00 points respectively. Protection to the occupants has been rated 'good' in the side movable deformable barrier test and the side pole impact test. Meanwhile, protection in the frontal offset deformable barrier test has also been mostly rated 'good', with the exception of 'adequate' protection to the driver's chest and thighs.

In terms of child occupancy safety, the Victoris has scored 43.00 out of 49.00 points. The car scored a full 24.00 points in the dynamic tests, and a full 12.00 out of 12.00 points in the installation tests. However, in the overall vehicle assessment tests, the Victoris ended up with a rating of 7.00 points out of 13.00.

The Victoris comes with a wide range of features, despite being an Arena car, which mostly focuses on the budget-end of the segment. The list of features includes a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Level 2 ADAS, gesture-powered tailgate, 64-colour ambient lighting, an 8-way power adjustable seat, air purifier, an 8-speaker surround sound system, and Alexa auto connectivity.
Under the hood, it comes with a set of 1.5-litre powertrains, with pure petrol, CNG , and strong-hybrid options as well. Additionally, the Victoris also comes with all-wheel drive on certain variants, along with drive modes and paddle shifters. Prices are yet to be announced, but we can expect it to be priced competitively, despite the host of features added onto it.

With the safety ratings, Maruti Suzuki wants to make sure it covers all bases with the Victoris. It packs in a huge list of features, it gets a choice of powertrains, all-wheel drive, and many connected features as well.
