Maruti Victoris Deliveries Start in September On The 22nd

Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the Maruti Victoris SUV in India, with introductory prices starting from Rs. 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and tops out at Rs. 19.99 lakhs ex-showroom. The model is available in six trims, spread across petrol, strong-hybrid, and CNG options, catering to a wide spectrum of buyers. Customer bookings for the new Arena flagship are already open from September 3, and dealer dispatches are currently underway. Buyers won't have to wait too long either, as the company has confirmed that deliveries will commence from 22 September 2025, coinciding with the start of Navratri.

Beyond its premium design and well-appointed cabin, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris also brings in a few segment-first features for the brand. The most notable among these is the introduction of Level 2 ADAS, marking the first time this technology has appeared on a Maruti model. However, there's a catch: ADAS is exclusive to the higher-spec ZXi and ZXi (O) trims, and more importantly, it is only offered with the naturally aspirated petrol engine mated to the 6-speed automatic gearbox. Buyers opting for other powertrains, including the strong-hybrid version, will have to forgo this driver-assist tech.

As for other features of the Victoris, you get a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster, which is the biggest for a Maruti, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, ventilated seats, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, a panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, a wireless phone charger, an 8-speaker Infinity sound system, a gesture-controlled tailgate, and a lot more. This is by far the most advanced Maruti model in terms of features on board, but the Grand Vitara is soon expected to offer these features as well. Not just this, the Victoris comes with 6 airbags as standard and has scored a perfect 5 star safety rating in both Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP crash test ratings.

Powertrain Options: Petrol, CNG, And Hybrid

After axing the diesel from its entire line-up back in 2020, CNG has been one of the strongest selling points for Maruti in the more affordable segment and strong hybrid with its models at the higher end of the spectrum. Victoris buyers also get these three options to choose from, where the engine details have been replicated from the Grand Vitara itself with a 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre petrol-CNG, and a 1.5-litre strong hybrid. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and e-CVT, along with an optional ALLGRIP Select all-wheel drive for the petrol automatic variant. Notably, the CNG variant features an underbody tank layout, a first for Maruti's CNG models.
The Maruti Victoris will rival the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, and others.
Verdict
Maruti Victoris is a very well thought out product from Maruti where it not only comes acros as a more mature ofefring, but also brings in a timeless design, which can safely be attributed as one of the most sophisticated designs Maruti has ever rolled off its showrooms. Couple it with the pricing, the class-leading tech, the chain of powerplants to choose from, and the usual Maruti's deeply rooted dealership network all the way to tier-3 cities, the Victoris has all the factors working in its favour.
