Toyota Hilux Price In India To Be Announced In March 2022!

The well known Toyota Hilux finally made its India debut after the official launch and will be positioned above the Toyota Innova in the brand's line-up. The Japanese carmaker launched the pickup truck in two trim options that include 4X4 Low and 4X4 High. The Toyota Hilux price in India is expected to start from INR 35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) but the official confirmation will only come in after March 2022. Here are all the details that you would want to know about this Japanese pickup.

For starters, the Hilux will be available in two trim options - 4X4 Low, and 4X4 High. The lower variant comes with a manual transmission and 4X4 powertrain as standard. This trim option will only be available in two colour options - white and grey. The 4x4 High variant on the other hand will be available with manual as well as automatic transmission options and can be had in four exterior colour options - Pearl white, emotional red, silver, and grey. Both these variants will feature the same 2.8-L 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine that produces 204 Ps of maximum power. This engine delivers a peak torque of 420 Nm with a manual gearbox while the automatic variant on the other hand boasts a peak torque output of 500 Nm.

On the features front, the 4X4 Low variant will offer dusk-sensing halogen headlamps, LED fog lamps, chrome-plated door handles, steel step paint, machine-finished R17 alloy wheels, and electrically adjustable ORVMs, while on the inside, the buyers will get features like smart entry and push-button start, 8-inch touchscreen system, heat rejection glass, large MID, centre armrest, and cooled upper glovebox. In addition to this, the Hilux 4X4 Low also gets driving modes, rear parking sensors, and tilt and telescopic adjust for the steering wheel. Auto-dimming IRVM too are a standard part of the package.

On the safety front, the pickup truck gets Downhill Assist Control, Active Traction Control, 7 SRS airbags, Vehicle stability and traction control, Brake Assist, emergency brake signal, ISOFIX mounts, and Immobiliser. Furthermore, the Hilux also boasts a tough frame with exceptional torsional and bending rigidity, 4WD with High and Low Range, and electric Drive control (2WD/4WD). The Hilux also scored a perfect five-star rating in the safety crash tests.

The 4X4 High trim on the other hand gets a number of additional features like dusk-sensing LED headlamps, LED taillights, bold piano black trapezoidal grille with chrome surround at the front, steel step chrome rear bumper, super chrome R18 alloy wheels, and power foldable ORVMs. Inside, the Hilux gets leather seats, sequential shift for automatic, 8-way power-adjustable driver seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, second-row AC vents, and centre console box with soft armrest.
