Carmakers introduce discount schemes every month that improves car sales and thus increase their market share. This time too Toyota Kirloskar Motors is offering a discount of up to Rs 10,000 on its compact SUV, Urban Cruiser. The carmaker is also offering a corporate offer.
This Rs 10,000 discount is actually an exchange offer that can be availed if you have an older vehicle. Toyota also has other cars in its portfolio like Innova Crysta, Fortuner, Camry and Velfite but there's no discount on these cars. The recently launched Toyota Glanza sets an introductory price of Rs 6.39 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Powering the Urban Cruiser is a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor. This engine generates as much as 103 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 138 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard and also gets an optional 4-speed torque converter unit.

Feature-wise, Urban Cruiser is equipped with a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, cruise control, multi-function steering wheel, push-button start/stop, power-folding outside rearview mirror and more.
Safety features on the Toyota Urban Cruiser include dual airbags at the front, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, reverse parking sensors, a high-speed alert system, speed-sensing door locks, front seat belt reminder and more. This compact SUV also gets hill hold control but this feature is limited to automatic versions only.
