Toyota Kirloskar Motor is expected to launch the Hilux in May 2022 and the same has now been spotted at a dealership. This seems to be the top of the line High variant and the colour options that are spied are Red Metallic and Pearl White. The third shade for this trim is Silver Metallic and the base variant, Low gets two colour schemes - Super White and Grey Metallic.

Earlier, the Hilux was supposed to be launched in March, however, due to supply chain constraints, the product will now be brought in May. The bookings for this pick-up truck commenced in February at a premium of Rs 1 lakh, however, that was too halted temporarily due to the huge demand. The company says that they will resume the bookings soon.

Toyota Hilux pick-up truck is powered by a 2.8-litre, BS6 compliant diesel engine. It is the same unit as found in the Fortuner. This motor generates as much as 201 bhp of power on tap with a maximum torque of 420 Nm with the six-speed intelligent manual transmission. For people picking the 6-speed AT, the peak torque is higher at 500 Nm.
