A Special Edition Honda City Incoming; Details

Before you get your hopes too high, let's bring you back to reality. In all likelihood, the special edition Honda City is going to be feature subtle and basic enhancements only. The core design of the car is going to remain identical, with the exception of some cosmetic garnishes, decals, badging, and maybe perhaps a spoiler. Given the sportier intent of the teaser, we can also expect red brake callipers and de-chromed treatment.

On the inside, things are not going to be too different either, with the City going to retain the same dashboard layout. However, given the messaging of the teaser, we can expect the beige and black interior upholstery to be replaced by a sportier, all-black theme with red stitching and inserts, along with aluminium pedals.
Some features currently on offer include the 7.9-inch touchscreen infotainment setup with wireless connectivity, the digital twin dial instrument cluster, an 8-speaker surround sound system, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a reverse parking camera, blind view monitor, and a tyre pressure monitor among other things.

Things will also remain the same under the hood. The City will retain the 1.5-litre, nat-asp petrol powertrain producing 119bhp and 145Nm of torque, paired to either a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. This will likely be a rival to the Skoda Slavia Monte Carlo, and the launch will take place soon.

Verdict
The special edition Honda City is going to focus on a sporty theme, and unfortunately, it will not be something too hardcore. That said, it will likely cater to someone who looks for something sportier but with the reliability of a Honda.
