Maruti Scored 5 Stars In GNCAP

Maruti's latest SUV, the Victoris, has achieved a new milestone by scoring 5 stars in the Global NCAP crash tests. These crash tests, carried out at ADAC's facility in Landsberg, Germany, mark the highest safety rating the automaker has ever secured under the 'Safer Cars for India' programme. Earlier, the SUV scored a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. The Victoris scored 5 stars for both the adult occupants and the child occupants as well. Meanwhile, the score remains 33.72 out of 34 for the adult occupant and 41 out of 49 for the child occupants. Earlier, the Dzire scored 5 stars for adult safety and 4 stars for child occupants. Compared to that, Victoris raises the bar in the lineup.

These brilliant safety ratings are complemented by plenty of safety features that come with the all-new Victoris. Some of the key safety features include 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, 3-point seat belts, and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Not just this, for the first time, Maruti introduced ADAS with their product, the Victoris comes loaded with a level 2 ADAS suite.

This will be a major safety upgrade for the Indian consumers, as Maruti is the leading passenger vehicle manufacturer in India. Notably, the Victoris has been unveiled in the Indian market, but the brand has not revealed the prices as of now. However, it is expected to sit somewhere between Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom).
