Select Variants Of Hyundai Santro Discontinued; i20, Grand i10 Price Hiked

After the price increase of their SUV, Venue, Creta and Alcazar, Hyundai has now hiked the prices of its hatchback - Santro, Grand i10 and i20. In addition to the increased prices, the South Korean carmaker has also discontinued some variants of their entry-level hatchback, Santro.

All variants of the Santro now receive a hike of Rs 4,000 except Sportz AMT and Magna CNG. Hyundai has discontinued Magna and Asta AMT. The new prices start from Rs 4.89 lakh to Rs 6.41 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Hyundai Santro is powered by a 1.0L, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol that churns out 68 bhp of power with 99 Nm of peak torque.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios

The Grand i10 Nios sees a price hike of Rs 9,000 for most of its variants except Era and Asta 1.2L petrol. Both of these variants are now Rs 10,000 more expensive than before. Also, Magna AMT does not receive any price increase at all. The new prices of Hyundai Grand i10 Nios stick from Rs 5.39 lakh to Rs 7.69 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. This hatchback is available in three engine options - 1.2-litre non-turbo petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.2-litre diesel.

This premium hatchback from Hyundai rivals the buyers of Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz, Maruti Baleno and Toyota Glanza. Most variants of the i20 now get Rs 5,000 price hike except for diesel ones that are now more expensive by Rs 5,100 than before. The 1.2L petrol Asta and 1.0L turbo petrol Asta DCT do not receive any price hike at all. Hyundai i20 is available with three engine options - 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel. It is now priced from Rs 7.03 lakh to Rs 11.78 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
