Tata Motors recently launched the CNG version of its premium hatchback Altroz at a starting price of Rs 7.55 lakh ex-showroom. The Altroz iCNG comes in 6 variants with the second base XM+ variant costing Rs 8.40 lakh ex-showroom. The Maruti Baleno's Delta S-CNG variant is also available at Rs 8.35 lakh ex-showroom. This means Tata Altroz CNG XM+ is just Rs 5,000 costlier than Maruti Baleno Delta CNG. Verdict: When looking at the features list, the Maruti Baleno Delta CNG comes with more features but it lacks the practicality of a boot space. On the other hand, the Tata Altroz XM+ iCNG offers fewer features but gets the practicality of 210 litres of boot space and is also a 5-star G-Ncap-rated car.
