The launch of the Tata Nexon EV long-range model was recently confirmed and the car was recently spied testing on the Indian roads. This new electric SUV in India is expected to go on sale in April 2022 and here are the top 5 things that we know so far about the long-range Nexon EV that you should check out.
New Powertrain
The new Tata Nexon EV long-range is said to be offered with a larger 40kWH battery pack that will offer a claimed range of over 400 km on a single charge. The present iterations of the SUV are offered with a smaller, 30.2 kWh battery pack that boasts an ARAI certified range of 312 km. The larger battery might take a toll on the boot space inside.

More Powerful Charger
As per many online reports, the new Tata Nexon EV might get a more powerful 6.6 kW AC charger that will be sold as an optional add-on. As standard, Tata is expected to offer the same 3.3 kW AC charger which is currently being supplied with the standard models.
New Features And Better Safety
The updated Nexon EV is expected to be offered with an upgraded braking setup that will include all-disc brakes at all four wheels while other updates might include new selectable regen modes, and Electronic Stability Program (ESP), while no changes will be made to the interiors or the exterior styling.

Tata Nexon EV Long-Range Price
The price of the long-range Nexon EV is expected to start from INR 17-18 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant. Tata is expected to sell the long-range Nexon EV alongside the present iteration of the Nexon EV.
Nexon EV Long-Range Launch Date
Tata is expected to launch the new Nexon EV in April 2022 but the Indian carmaker is yet to announce the official launch timeline of this new and better Tata Nexon EV in India.
