Toyota recently launched the Glanza CNG at a price of Rs 8.43 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Along with this, they also commenced the bookings of the upcoming Hyryder CNG. Glanza CNG is a premium hatchback that holds a good amount of space. While the cabin space is quite sufficient, it is the boot space which gets hampered in the CNG vehicle. In this article, we share how much boot space is left in the Glanza CNG.
The usual boot space of the Glanza sticks to 318 litres, however, with the added CNG cylinder, it is almost finished. Yes, almost. There's still some space left for the duffle bags and soft bags which can make the car ready for short road trips. Thanks to the deep boot space, Glanza CNG can be considered for inter-city drives.

The spare tyre too takes some of the space, however, you can remove it too to include more space. Replace the spare tyre with a puncture repair kit and you will have a decent space to go. Unlike other hatchbacks with factory-fitted CNG, this one has a decent boot space to adhere to the needs of the passengers.
Powering the Glanza CNG is the same 1.2L, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol motor. However, in CNG mode, the peak power and torque drops by a margin. Glanza CNG belts out 76 bhp of power with a peak torque of 95 Nm. It gets mated to a five-speed manual transmission as standard and there's no AMT as an option for this one.
The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of the Toyota Glanza CNG sticks to 30.61 km/kg. It is offered in two variants only - S and G. Both are priced at Rs 8.43 lakh and Rs 9.46 lakh, respectively. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi. It gets a standard warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh km, whichever is at the earliest.
Verdict
Even with the added CNG cylinder, thanks to the deep boot, there's still some space left for a few bags. It isn't suitable for long road trips but with a few soft and duffle bags, short intercity commutes are quite possible with the Glanza CNG.
