- Hyundai Venue updated for 2025
- Gets radical new design and an upgraded feature list; New diesel AT trim introduced
- Misses out on some features when compared to rivals
The Hyundai Venue continues to be one of India's most popular compact SUVs, thanks to its stylish design, refined engines, and extensive features list. The latest update has made it even smarter and more tech-savvy. However, despite the upgrades, there are still a few convenience and comfort features that its competitors offer, ones that could have made the Venue's package even more compelling. Here's a look at whats still missing from Hyundai's otherwise impressive feature sheet, but before that, make sure to join the 91wheels WhatsApp Community, specifically curated for petrolheads like us to keep up with the latest news and automotive updates.

Dual-Zone Climate Control

Hyundai's compact SUV does get automatic climate control with rear AC vents, but it lacks dual-zone functionality. Competitors such as the Mahindra XUV 3XO offer separate temperature controls for the driver and passenger, a small but noticeable luxury. Given Hyundai's reputation for packing in segment-first features, this omission feels surprising in an otherwise modern and well-appointed cabin.
Rear Seat Comfort Features

Hyundai has improved seat cushioning and rear legroom in recent updates, but the Hyundai Venue still misses out on features like ventilated rear seats and adjustable backrest recline, both of which are available on the Kia Sonet. While these are more premium additions, they could have given the Venue an extra comfort edge in this highly competitive sub-4m SUV segment.
Heads-Up Display
The latest Venue impresses with dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and instrumentation, yet it skips on a Heads-Up Display (HUD). This feature, available on models like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Fronx, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor, projects key driving information like speed and gear position directly onto a transparent screen in the driver's line of sight.
Panoramic Sunroof: Still A Miss

While the Venue does offer an electric sunroof, it continues with a single-pane unit. Rivals like the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and Mahindra XUV 3XO now feature larger panoramic sunroofs, which enhance the sense of space and airiness inside the cabin. For many Indian buyers, a panoramic sunroof is as much a style statement as it is a comfort feature, and its absence makes the Venue feel a step behind when it comes to that premium SUV experience.

Powered Co-Driver Seat

The Venue offers a 4-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, which is a nice touch at this price point. However, it stops short of offering the same convenience for the co-driver, something that rivals like the Skoda Kylaq now provide with 6-way powered adjustment. Having both front occupants enjoy similar seat flexibility would have added an extra layer of comfort and practicality, especially on long drives.
Verdict
The Hyundai Venue remains one of the most feature-rich, reliable, and well-built SUVs in its category. Yet, as competitors continue to raise the bar with luxury-inspired touches, a few missed features, such as a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone AC, and telescopic steering, remind us that even strong packages have room for evolution. For most buyers, these omissions won't be dealbreakers, but for those comparing top trims side-by-side, rivals like the Nexon, Sonet, and XUV 3XO do offer that extra layer of convenience. A future update addressing these gaps could make the Venue nearly unbeatable in its class.
