2025 Tata Curvv Coming With New Features

Tata Curvv is likely to get a couple of new features in its top-spec trim, an extension of the Dark Edition exclusivities until now. This move is aimed at making the coupe SUV stand tall against the competition even more firmly like Tata hoped at its launch. Tata is set to carry over some enhancements from the Curvv Dark Edition to the standard version of the SUV. These include useful additions like rear window sunshades and dual-zone climate control, likely offered on the top trims without any price hike. The fully loaded Curvv will continue to offer high-end features such as Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, LED lighting, 18-inch alloy wheels, and split-folding rear seats for added practicality.

As for the Dark Edition, Tata has given the Curvv a bold visual identity with an all-black theme that enhances its sporty appeal. Ditching the chrome accents seen on standard models, this edition features darkened elements across the grille, badges, and beltline, finished in a sleek dark chrome. The alloy wheels retain the same design but wear a blacked-out look with subtle machined highlights and aero inserts, giving the SUV a more aggressive stance.

Engine Options

The Tata Curvv ICE range offers three engine choices. There's a standard 1.2-litre turbo-petrol making 118 bhp and 170 Nm, a more powerful 1.2-litre direct-injection petrol unit producing 123 bhp and 225 Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine delivering 116 bhp and 260 Nm. All three engines can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
As for the pricing, the Tata Curvv starts at Rs. 10 lakhs ex-showroom and goes all the way up to Rs 19.52 lakhs. It directly rivals the Citroen Basalt while also being a contender in the space of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and others.
Verdict
Tata Curvv has not been able to pull in the kind of interest that it hoped at the begining, with a coupe SUV fnally being in reach of the mass segment. Since then, the brand is going all out in a bid to swing a magic wand and revive the sales to match up to the segment leaders. Although it remains to be seen if this new update can sway away buyers from its competition or not, it sure is a pretty neat and functional upgrade and when expected to come at no extra cost, makes it even more appealing.
