Toyota Motors unwrapped its new-generation cars and EVs at the Auto Expo 2023 event. Amongst the newly showcased cars is the revamped Toyota Glanza which is one of the most popular hatchbacks in the Indian market. The latest Glanza Sports edition is a concept that apparently brings several major design overhauls compared to the current generation model. Below are the details:

Toyota Glanza Sports Concept Design: Whats New?

The Toyota Glanza concept showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 is based on the top-end version. The new Glanza gets a carbon fiber finish on the entire body panel that adds to the bold and sporty appeal. Toyota has primarily made upgrades to the aesthetics and is likely taking cues from TRD (Toyota Racing Development) which is quite popular in the global markets to add sporty elements to the Glanzas design.

The carbon fibre texture has been added to the body skirtings, rear spoiler, and even the bumper lip. The outside/side mirrors and door handles also get the new carbon fiber skin. The roof is painted all black. This black& white color combo along with the carbon fiber body kit will surely turn some heads on the roads.

Speaking of the interiors, the Toyota Glanza Sports Edition has new black seat upholstery and the door pads are now painted in a red, black, and white combination. Toyota has also added the sports touch inside the Glanzas cabin. The steering is flat-bottomed and has a carbon fiber texture as the exterior.

The alloy wheels will be of 17-inches which along with the new body kit offers a low-floor profile look to the Glanza Sports.

Toyota Glanza Sports Variant: Expected Engine Specs

Overall, the Glanza Sports concept seems to be a major rework in the design segment primarily and not the engine specs. Toyota will be launching this upcoming variant of its popular mid-sized with the same set of engine specs as the current generation model. It is said to debut with the same 1.2-liter petrol and CNG engine. Performance delivery will be similar, despite the car flaunting a sporty look.

Verdict: Toyota Galaza Sports is definitely an upgrade if we consider the overall look and appeal and it seems like the company is trying to bring a modernized version of Glanza which is sporty. However, Toyota will have to fiddle with the engine specs if it wishes to provide such an experience to the audience.
