The Tata Altroz facelift builds upon the current model and now gets a sharper and more attractive front facia. It comes with a dual-barrel LED headlamp set-up with integrated upswept LED DRLs along with a sleek grille spanning the width of the bonnet. Lower down, you get a restyled front bumper that follows the latest design philosophy already seen with the recent launches.

The rear profile also gets a revamp with infinity LED tail lamps with a reworked lower bumper that now looks sharper and offers a sportier look with a high-mount stop lamp adding character. The dual-tone tailgate adds another layer of sophistication to the mix, something that surely looks the part.
Interior And Features

The 2025 Tata Altroz gets a significant interior overhaul, highlighted by a redesigned dashboard layout and a pair of large 10.25-inch screens, one for infotainment and the other a fully digital instrument cluster that now includes an integrated navigation display. Tata has also updated the air-conditioning vents and center console switchgear, while introducing its new signature two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo.

While the previous model was already well-equipped with features like automatic climate control, cruise control, air purifier, height-adjustable driver's seat, reverse camera, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, six airbags, and a Harman 6-speaker audio setup, the facelift takes it a step further. Engine Details- The Last Hatch Standing!

The 2025 Tata Altroz is expected to retain its existing engine options, which also include the last of its kind on a hatch, an oil burner. The standard petrol variant uses a 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine delivering 87bhp and 115Nm, while the diesel version features a 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit producing 88bhp and 200Nm. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual as standard, with the petrol model also offering the convenience of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
For enthusiasts, the Altroz Racer variant adds a performance edge with its 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 118bhp and 170Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Additionally, Tata will continue offering a CNG option, which produces 76 bhp and 97Nm and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, rounding out a diverse and flexible powertrain lineup.
Verdict
Altroz is finally getting a fighting chance in times, when the Tata Punch is doing excpetionally well, although this is something the brand cannot say confidently about the Curvv siblings. But the Altroz, a diesel hatch, getting much needed upgrades, some being segment firsts tell us something about the determination of Tata to keep this under dog alive. And for me, I like how it all came together with the Altroz and finally the hatchback space can somewhat breathe again. The pseudo SUVs have kind of blurred the lines of what a car should be, this carries a ray of hope, no matter if its still a bleak one.
