Tata Punch Facelift Spotted

Tata is working on their popular SUV, the Punch facelift, expected to launch by the end of this year. However, the camouflage test has been spotted testing on roads in Pune again. Going by those spyshots, this test mule boasts cues from the Punch EV and the new Altroz. This time, the rear part is more visible, and we can easily see that at the rear, it boasts the connected LED taillamps setup, inspired by the Altroz. Moreover, it gets dual parking sensors at the rear. Meanwhile, the overall silhouette will remain identical to the outgoing model except for the alloy wheels. Moving to the front, it is expected to get a refreshed front fascia with a new grille, LED taillamps and slightly tweaked bumper.

Interoirs And Features

Inside, the Punch facelift is expected to bring a host of upgrades. It all starts with a new two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo. Dominating the dash is the same 10.25-inch instrument cluster with wireless connectivity. However, this one is expected to get a new 7-inch TFT instrument cluster along with a climate control panel for a premium feel. Additionally, it could boast features like ventilated seats and a blind spot monitor. Meanwhile, the facelift is expected to retain some of the features like voice-assisted electric sunroof, USB charger, rear AC vents, and 6 airbags for safety.
Powertrain
Under the hood, the Punch facelift is expected to retain the same 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, which belts out 87.8 PS and 115 Nm of torque. It comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission. Moreover, for budget-friendly buyers, Punch also offers a CNG version with this engine, which churns out 73.5 PS and 103 Nm of torque. Notably, the CNG version only comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Verdict
The Tata Punch facelift doesn't reinvent the formula but smartly builds on its strengths. With Altroz-inspired styling, added tech like a 360-degree camera, and the promise of ventilated seats and six airbags, Tata is making the Punch more premium without straying from its value-for-money roots. The proven petrol and CNG powertrains stay intact, ensuring familiarity and reliability for buyers.
