Tata Motors has inaugurated its fourth Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Chandigarh. Branded as 'Re.Wi.Re  Recycle with Respect,' the cutting-edge facility was unveiled by Mr. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility. Employing environmentally conscious processes, the facility has the capability to safely and sustainably disassemble 12,000 end-of-life vehicles annually.

The new scrapping facility is developed and operated by Tata Motors' partner, Dada Trading Company, the RVSF is equipped to scrap both passenger and commercial vehicles, irrespective of their brand, aligning with the company's vision to promote eco-friendly initiatives. This achievement builds upon the success of Tata Motors' three preceding RVSFs in Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, and Surat, underscoring its unwavering dedication to eco-friendly endeavors.

The Re.Wi.Re. facility is purposefully constructed for disassembling end-of-life passenger and commercial vehicles from any brand, with a strong emphasis on adopting environmentally friendly methods. This fully digitalized facility is equipped with dedicated cell-type and line-type dismantling processes for commercial and passenger vehicles, respectively. All operations within the facility are seamless and paperless. Moreover, there are specific stations dedicated to the safe dismantling of various components, such as tires, batteries, fuel, oils, liquids, and gases.

Each vehicle undergoes a meticulous documentation and dismantling process tailored to meet the specific requirements of passenger and commercial vehicles. This ensures exhaustive attention to detail, guaranteeing the safe disposal of all components in accordance with the vehicle scrappage policy. Ultimately, the Re.Wi.Re. facility represents a groundbreaking advancement in promoting sustainable practices within the automotive industry.
