Matter Motor: Breaking the Charging Barrier

A recurring challenge for two-wheeler EV buyers has been range anxiety and the availability of charging infrastructure. Through this tie-up, MATTER's flagship bike AERA will be seamlessly connected to Bolt.Earth's network of over 1 lakh charging points spread across 1,800+ Indian cities including Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, and Delhi.
Integration will be handled through the MatterVerse app, allowing riders to search, navigate, and access charging stations in real time. The idea is to make charging as simple and predictable as topping up a smartphone.
Phase-Wise Rollout

The partnership will unfold in multiple stages:
- Immediate Access: MATTER riders will gain entry to Bolt.Earth's public charging ecosystem directly through the app.
- Co-Branded Infrastructure: Charging units carrying both brands will be installed at MATTER dealerships and service centers, aiding test rides and boosting customer convenience.
- Future Bundling: In time, new MATTER bikes may be sold with Bolt.Earth chargers included, embedding infrastructure into the purchase experience itself.
Shared Vision from Both Companies

Mohal Lalbhai, Founder of MATTER Motor, highlighted the brand's mission: "Our goal goes beyond building advanced electric bikes - we are creating the ecosystem around them. Partnering with Bolt.Earth helps us push forward the idea of a rider's 'Right to Charging,' ensuring access at home, work, or on the move."
For Bolt.Earth, the collaboration strengthens its position as India's charging backbone. Founder and CEO S. Raghav Bharadwaj noted: "Charging should be effortless, like second nature. By combining MATTER's innovative motorbikes with our widespread network, we are ensuring that the shift to electric is not just desirable, but obvious."
Division of Responsibilities

Operationally, Bolt.Earth will oversee installation, uptime, and maintenance of chargers, while also providing live data and support for billing and promotions. MATTER Motor will handle digital integration via its app, drive customer awareness campaigns, and coordinate dealer rollouts to guide where infrastructure is most needed.
Why This Matters
The timing of this partnership is crucial. While MATTER has positioned the AERA as a '22nd century motorbike' with liquid cooling, a connected 7-inch touchscreen, and a lifetime battery warranty, its long-term success hinges on a dependable charging ecosystem. Bolt.Earth's extensive footprint ensures riders can confidently leave behind petrol pumps without worrying about range.
