Mahindra XUV300 Alloy Wheels To Get A New Design

The Indian Automotive manufacturer, Mahindra, has received a decent response in the compact SUV segment from the XUV300. Based on the Korean sibling, Ssangyong Tivoli, the XUV300 offers multiple first in segment features and has won the hearts of many with its driving dynamics and performance. Released in February 2019, this car is up for a facelift in the first quarter of 2023 and has recently received a few noticeable updates. To cope with the increased manufacturing costs, automotive manufacturers cut costs in many ways, and Mahindra is no different. Some of the features have been omitted from the XUV300, even from the top-spec variants to control the ex-showroom prices from going sky-high. Having said this, the Mahindra XUV300 alloy wheels too are up for a design change as per a leaked report.

The current Mahindra XUV 300 on sale features 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels which are first in their segment. However, Mahindra has silently downsized them to 16 inches in the range-topping W8 and W8(O) variants to 16 inches which brings them at par with the competitors. Some sparkles like passenger-side keyless entry, rear centre armrest and cup holders have been pulled off from the comprehensive feature list of the XUV 300.

The W8 alloy wheels are silver coloured alloy wheels, while the W8(O) alloy wheels feature an attractive diamond-cut design. The overall profile of the wheels is the same with the width of tyres reduced from 215 to 205 and they seem to be in decent proportions despite the downside. Downsized alloy wheels can help the XUV 300 to fetch marginal gains in fuel economy but may affect the driving dynamics of the vehicle. The 17-inch alloy wheels are expected to be optional for the customer at the dealership level as Mahindra continues to retail them on its spare parts website, m2all. The changes in the alloy wheels were listed in a tabular form.

Mahindra is reportedly working on an electric version of the XUV300 which was spied a few days earlier and seemed to be designed on the same platform as that of the ongoing IC engine version.
